Here is a very different approach:  use your Human Design Chart!

Your Human Design Chart contains information about the energy configuration you carry—it shows the energetic structure you were born with. (Click here if you don’t have your Chart yet.)

This set of energies interacts within you, influencing your behavior and your ability to handle stress and pressure, and determining the most effective way for you to operate in the world.

Your set of energies also interacts with the people around you, influencing them and being influenced by them.

The energies you carry (your “definition”) are colored in on your chart. These are energies you experience consistently and broadcast out to the world.

The Centers, gates and channels that are white (your “openness” ) are areas where you take in the energy of others. The inconsistency and intensity of these open areas can be confusing and overwhelming, but our openness is also our greatest source of wisdom in life. This wisdom comes from experiencing the full range of human expression in each area where we are open.

Just days after the birth of William and Catherine’s first child, Prince George (see article), we looked at his chart to see what we can expect from him as he grows and matures. Today we look at his royal parents and their relationship from a Human Design point of view.

Background on Prince William

William is the first of two sons of Prince Charles (son of Queen Elizabeth II) and Princess Diana (see article), and he is second in line to the British throne after his father.

Some of my defined-Sacral clients (only Generator and Manifesting Generator Types have a defined Sacral Center) struggle a bit initially with accessing their Sacral response.

Sacral response—that gut reaction that produces the sounds “uh-huh” for yes and “uhn-uhn” for no—is THE key for those Types to make correct decisions and take correct action for themselves. It is internal guidance that knows their soul’s purpose and will guide them toward fulfilling it.

If you are a Generator or Manifesting Generator, there are two ways to activate that response mechanism and access your guidance:

1) Respond to everything and anything in your “outer reality” (that is, anything outside of your mind), for example: a general email you receive, a billboard, a magazine article, a conversation you overhear.

2) Respond to someone asking you Yes/No questions. A deliberate set of questions can result in you not only knowing what is correct for you to pursue (and what is not correct) but also the correct timing, resources needed, etc. It just takes a little practice for someone to get good at asking you Yes/No questions and using your answers to know what to ask next.

The only tricky part to getting clear Sacral responses is keeping your mind out of the process!  I know, easier said than done for many of you!

Recently, a Generator client shared with me a quick visualization process she uses to tap into her Sacral wisdom and guidance without interference from her mind.

She imagines her head floating and being separate from her body. Then she deliberately drops her conscious awareness down into her body, all the way down to her belly area (though YOUR Sacral Center may feel a little higher in your body—go with what feels right to you). She drops her consciousness down to that area KNOWING it is there she will FIND the answer/response she seeks.

Sacral responses come from your BODY, not your mind. So allow your body to give its natural response to things and questions. And pay attention to any physical sensations you experience along with your responses, such as tingling, energy rising, warmth, being drawn forward, tightening, energy dropping, etc.

Mother Teresa of Calcutta

Birth: Aug. 26, 1910 at 2:25 pm in Skopje, Macedonia
Death:  Sep. 5, 1997 in Calcutta

Background

Mother Teresa was born Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu
in the Balkan Peninsula of southeasternEurope in the area now known as Macedonia  (created from the former Yugoslavia, and which at her birth was part of the Ottoman Empire) to Albanian parents. She was raised Roman Catholic and by age 12 was already certain she would commit herself to a religious life!  She left home at 18 to become a missionary.

Having learned English at an abbey in Ireland so she could teach school in India, she arrived in India as a novitiate (“novice”, prior to taking vows) in 1929. She took her first vows as a nun in 1931 and chose the name Teresa. Her solemn vows were taken in 1937 while teaching at a convent school in eastern Calcutta, where she served for almost 20 years and was appointed headmistress in 1944.

Although she loved teaching, she was disturbed by the poverty and hunger surrounding her in the city. She began her missionary work with the poor in 1948, adopting Indian citizenship and receiving a few months of basic medical training.

She started a school in Calcutta, committing to serve the “poorest among the poor,” but had no money and resorted to begging for food and supplies her first year. But Indian officials, including the prime minister, noticed her efforts and she began attracting help and support. In 1950 she received Vatican approval to start a new congregation dedicated to caring for the poor and those discarded by society.  It became the Missionaries of Charity and by 1997 had grown to more than 4000 nuns running orphanages, hospices, charity centers and leper houses worldwide.

Her tireless efforts on behalf of the poor, the hungry, and the victims of disasters and wars around the world are legend.  Due to declining health, she stepped down from running the Missionaries of Charity in March 1997 (at age 86), and passed away that September.

By 2007, her main legacy—the Missionaries of Charity—had grown to 450 brothers and 5000 sisters operating 600 missions, schools and shelters in 120 countries.

Throughout her life she received many awards and recognitions, including the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979.  Refusing the ceremonial banquet given to laureates, she asked that the $192,000 instead be given to the poor in India.

First, she was a Manifesting Generator—so she had both the sustainable energy and the ability to make things happen that she needed to accomplish the significant impact that this petite woman of meager means had on the world.

Decision-Making Advice for Defined Sacrals

Your Human Design chart shows YOUR configuration of the nine energy centers—the triangles, squares and diamond shape on your bodygraph. Usually, they are a mix of some colored in and some white.

Those centers represent the different types of energies we process as human beings, including communication energy, emotional energy, and life force energy.

Of the nine centers four are MOTORS, which provide energy for taking action.

Of those four motor centers, the SACRAL CENTER (second square up from the bottom) is the most powerful. It provides sustainable life force and workforce energy when it is colored red. It is designed to RESPOND to life.

Only Generators and Manifesting Generators have a colored (“Defined”) Sacral Center. Their correct decision-making Strategy is to wait for things to show up in life and then respond to them. Their response lets them know whether to take action or not.

If you have a Defined Sacral Center, which is a RED square just above the bottom square on your Chart, you are a Generator or Manifesting Generator.

It’s correct for you to go to bed tired at night, and you typically wake up refreshed and ready for a new day the next morning. It’s like you start each day with a full tank of gas and you need to burn up that fuel so you’re on ‘empty’ by day’s end.

If you’re a Generator or Manifesting Generator and you’re not sleeping well, you may not be getting enough physical activity. You have ‘fuel’ left to burn and it keeps you up at night. Try getting more exercise or any type of physical activity during the day and see if that helps.

By the way, this is also true for Generator and Manifesting Generator CHILDREN. Many kids diagnosed with ADD and ADHD these days are simply Generators or Manifesting Generators who are not getting enough exercise!
