Quick Spotlight: Applying the Projector’s Strategy – Part 2

by Evelyn Levenson

Recently I wrote about a Projector client in her early 30’s who is a 3/5 Profile and has only three centers Defined (Will, Spleen and Root). When she read that Quick Spotlight article she recognized herself and wrote me an amazing follow-up email. With her permission, I am sharing with you the full email she wrote.

Hello Evelyn,

Read the ‘Quick Spotlight’…in your newsletter, was pleasantly surprised 🙂
I forgot to mention two accomplishments in my reading and thought it may be useful to share.

During my college and works years, I became severely addicted to caffeine out of desperation in trying to keep up with everyone.  It adversely affected my health, I began experiencing higher levels of anxiety, irritable bowel syndrome and teeth cavities.  I never liked the taste of coffee but drank it as a necessity order to stay awake for extended periods of time.

Because of insights from my HD Readings and in hindsight, it is obvious I pushed myself to extremes in trying to run on a Generator’s schedule…not sustainable! I also became addicted to nasal decongestants to quell my anxiety.  It was detrimental to my health and neutered connection to my natural breathing.  Renewed connection to my breath through dance, yoga and meditation.

I’m very proud that since April 2012, I have given up drinking coffee completely and prefer soothing teas now which has been better for my overall health and well being.  I feel calmer too! Super relieved to have also successfully given up my addiction to nasal decongestants since Nov. of 2012!

Seemingly small but significant improvements in my life. You are welcome to mention these examples as warnings to any Projector clients.

Warning for All Projectors!
–Do Not Feel Compelled to Take Drugs In Order to Keep Up with the Racing Rats!
–Artificially inducing ‘generator-like energy’ will ultimately not sit well with your physical health & projector design.
–Learn from experience.  Listen to Your Body…Respect Your UNIQUE Energy!

I’m no longer ashamed and feel relieved to be on a path to recovery and reconciliation. I’m happy if the lessons I’ve learned can be useful or give hope to any Projectors still struggling with different levels of addictions.

From all the design types, I feel Projectors are the most prone to experience addictions and mental health issues because of facing difficulties in fitting into traditional society, and their experiences teach them to feel inadequate.

It means a lot to receive such encouraging words and support from you, a fellow Projector. Thanks so much, Evelyn.”

Her understanding of the underlying energy dynamics driving her former addictive behaviors and self-pressures has helped her to overcome them and to re-discover the beauty and full value of her Authentic Self, just as she is.

  1. Really useful to read!!!! Although I don’t have addictions I do tend to try and keep up with others and see my need to simply BE as lazy and none productive. I end up busy doing nothing as when I’m not aligned the effort is just wasted. Thanks to Human Design, which I discovered 3 weeks ago (thank you Universe for answering my call for answers) I’m beginning to see the vital importance of being me even though it doesn’t fit with what’s expected. Plus to listen and trust myself over the opinions of others.
