Series: Voices of the Throat #12 – Gate 16 “I Experiment”

by Evelyn Levenson

This series explains the energy of each Gate around the Throat Center so you will know how to communicate effectively and authentically as YOU. For each gate, we’ll cover the circuitry of the gate, its gifts and challenges, its “voice,” and practical ways to apply this information. The Introduction to this series can be found here. Links to the rest of this series are at the end of this post

Circuitry:

Every gate energy belongs to particular circuitry within the chart, which is like an electrical circuit board. This circuitry shows the evolutionary role of the gate energy and how the energy moves through the chart.

Circuitry of this Gate:

Circuit Group: Collective

The Collective Circuit Group serves the greater good and our collective values. It shares information, opinions, experiences, solutions. It is not personal.

Circuit: Logic

The Logic Circuit energies use patterns and logical thinking to understand our world and predict future outcomes.

High Expression of this Gate:

If you have the Gate 16 defined in your chart, you are here to experiment, practice, refine the “pattern,” and eventually develop mastery of something you love.  Both your talent and the recognition of it are earned.

This energy applies to artistic as well as scientific endeavors, including testing and refining solutions to problems.  Because this is Collective energy, any talents you develop and master here are to be shared for the greater good.

There is a perseverance in this energy that comes from the drive for correctness and perfection, but you must love what you’re mastering or else the energy for the perseverance won’t be there.

With dedication, you can transcend the skill itself and merge into artistry and full mastery… as when the dancer becomes the dance.

Low Expression of this Gate:

In the low expression, you may feel self-critical as you seek the perfect way to express your talents and expertise.

This energy has built-in enthusiasm so you might get swept up with excitement and leap into something: a) without due diligence or a plan or paying attention to details, or b) without using your Strategy and Authority to make the correct choice for you.  Any of these can get you into trouble!

As part of the Logic Circuit, which contains “pattern correction” energy, the Gate 16’s comments and opinions can be received by others as criticism.  This is “projected” energy and comments need to be invited to be shared.

Your Voice with this Gate:

This gate uses words that imply, “I experiment, without necessarily using those exact words.  You may say things like, “I’ll keep working on this until I get it right,” or “Let me try that and see if it works,” or “Practice makes perfect!” or “I’m excited about … .”

You may also admit to not having the energy or drive to see something through.

Tips for Using this Energy:

-Enjoy your enthusiasm and let it be infectious!

-Use your Strategy and Authority to make wise choices about what to pursue to mastery, and what to abandon when it no longer calls forth your mastery energy.

-Leverage the other parts of your chart to support the consistent practice and perfection required by this energy.  A Human Design reading can be very helpful with this.

-Trust that recognition of your achievements will come; just keep practicing and improving your skills.

This is the final gate in the Voices of the Throat series.  I hope you’ve enjoyed all of these gate explanations and found them useful.

  1. I’m Gratefull I’ve found you and subscribed for your emails to get to your blog. The information is so well explained and it’s a lot to read for free 🙂 I’m loving it and looking forward for more ! Thank you Evelyn

  2. I so wish there had been some text for undefined gates. I have only two defined: 62 and 23, neither connected to Ajna to form a channel. What am I to do with these hanging gates and what am I to do with the other 9 undefined gates?
